Hello!
I'm Kirsten, handmaker of pretty papery things!
Many {many!} years ago my first job was as a paper girl... pulling a yellow paper trolley through the local shopping area selling newspapers to the shopkeepers after school. If I was very good at it I would have called out "Papers! Papers! Get your papers here!". But I was terribly shy, and barely peeped, so this was not the most successful venture for me. {Sidenote: AND, may I point out, back then the paper boys got paid more per sale then I did - outrageous! Thank you to the sisterhood for sorting that situation out shortly thereafter}.
Since then I have trained under Cherie Karlsson {educator at the International School of Colour and Design}, studied at Enmore Design Centre and spent years working with this wonderful tactile medium. Forget Me Not Paperware was established 2005 - some 15 years after my first paper job - I am not quite as shy anymore and I think I've gotten much better at the paper thing! I spend my days making all manner of paper based pieces, from journals, jotters and notepads through to artcards, notelets and stationery sets. All items I create are handmade by me in my home studio {read: converted garage} in the upper Blue Mountains {read: a very beautiful part of the world!}, Australia.
I do hope you enjoy my little creative corner of the web.
